The annual MVP Global Summit is an exclusive event for Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) that is hosted at the Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, WA. From November 3-6 I attended the MVP Summit together with 1800 MVP fellows from 80 countries all over the world. And it was just great!

I arrived in Seattle on Sunday noon and I liked this city from the very beginning. Seattle and the surrounding area look stunning in fall.
As soon as I checked in to my hotel room I decided to collect my welcome package. Afterwards I attended the MVP Showcase where some MVPs presented their innovations using Microsoft technologies.

As the MVP Summit started on Monday morning I was very excited to see the Microsoft headquarters for the first time. The campus is huge, impressive and all-American. If you ever get the chance to go there, take it!
During the MVP Summit I had the possibility to choose from a wide range of technical sessions. I decided to participate in those ones about Office, Office 365 and SharePoint. On top of this I found time to check out the Microsoft campus and the Microsoft company store.
Microsoft invited us every evening for dinner and also to attend the party later on. My personal highlight was on Tuesday when the CEO of Microsoft, Mr. Satya Nadella, joined us. The MVP Summit was all about community; meeting other MVPs and Microsoft product managers.

Thank you so much for this great event and the awesome gift we got from the Microsoft Office Division. Special thanks goes to my employer isolutions ag for it’s support.

Since almost everything of the MVP Summit was under NDA I’m not able to share any details about the session content. Here are a few impressions instead:
