In den vergangnen Wochen wurde ich oft darauf angesprochen, was eine mögliche Strommangellage in der Schweiz für Unternehmen bedeutet, die Microsoft 365 und Azure einsetzen. How to change your SharePoint domain name (and rename your tenant)

In the initial signup process for Microsoft 365 an onmicrosoft.com domain for your tenant is created. This domain name persits for SharePoint (https://tenantname.sharepoint.com) and OneDrive (https://tenantname-my.sharepoint.com) even if you add a custom domain. It is now possible to change those URLs (including the tenantname.onmicrosoft.com) if your organization has no more than 10'000 SharePoint sites and OneDrive accounts in total.Read more

M365-Migration ins CH-Datacenter bis 30. April 2023 beantragen

Microsoft hat bekanntgegeben, dass Kunden, die ihren Microsoft 365 Tenant (bzw. ehemals Office 365 Tenant) in die Schweizer Datacenter von Microsoft verschieben lassen möchten, sich dafür noch bis zum 30. April 2023 einschreiben können. Damit wird das Data Residency Legacy Move Program für die Schweiz auf diesen Zeitpunkt hin beendet. Seit Ende 2019 betreibt Microsoft in der Schweiz eigene Datacenter in Zürich und Genf, wodurch eine Datenhaltung in der Schweiz möglich ist.Read more

How to connect to Microsoft 365 using PowerShell and MFA

If a user with Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled tries to connect to his M365 tenant via PowerShell, the Connect-MsolService command cannot be used because it only displays a classic login field with username and password.
