The organization name also corresponds to the display name of the Microsoft 365 tenant and is used, for example
- in the OneDrive app and Windows Explorer
- in Teams when accessing another Teams tenant i.e. as guest or joining an external team
- on Office.com at the top right of the user’s profile
The organization name can be customized as follows:Go to Microsoft 365 admin center > Settings > Org settings > swtich to the tab Organization profile > Organization information > adjust the Name
Be sure to fill in all required fields marked with an * to enable saving your changes. This customization does not affect the tenant name, a tenant’s URL or domains used for email.
It may take a moment for the new tenant display name to be changed. Resources on your PC, such as OneDrive, must be re-linked for the new tenant display name to appear.
