Since the general availability announcement of the Microsoft Graph API for Microsoft Teams last November Microsoft has added additional features for automating team lifecycles:
- 7 new types of teams (preview) including three types for education, two for retail, and two for healthcare
- Installing apps using application permissions (preview) is the way to create, install or upgrade an app across all teams in a tenant.
- New types of tabs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, and document libraries.
- Replying to channel messages and sending channel messages with subjects and @mentions (preview)
- Use Microsoft Graph to install a bot that sends messages
- Deep links to channels (preview)
- Global admins and Teams service admins can access teams that they are not a member of, allowing them to create teams, change team settings, add or remove members, and create or delete channels and tabs.
