OneDrive for Business update: New sync client and unlimited storage
Microsoft released the new and improved OneDrive for Business client. It comes with selective sync, support for files up to 10 GB, improved reliability, better performance and a removed 20,000 file sync limit. The client is available for Windows 7, 8 and 10 and Mac OS X 10.9 and higher. Windows 8.1 support will be added in the first quarter of 2016. The Windows client is available today, the Mac client will be released before the end of December 2015.
The December 2015 release does not support syncing SharePoint document libraries. This feature will be added in future releases. As a workaround you can run the new and old OneDrive for Business clients side by side.
Unlimited storage
Office 365 customers with one of the following plans will receive OneDrive for Business unlimited storage:
- Office 365 Enterprise E3, E4 and E5
- Office 365 Government E3, E4 and E5
- Office 365 Education
- OneDrive for Business Plan 2 and SharePoint Online Plan 2
By the end of December 2015 Microsoft will be starting to increase the OneDrive for Business storage from 1 TB to 5 TB per user. If additional storage is required, you can request it by contacting Microsoft support.
Customers on all other Office 365 Enterprise, Business and standalone plans that include OneDrive for Business will continue to receive 1 TB of storage per user.

How to keep your free 15 GB OneDrive storage and camera roll bonus
In early November, Microsoft announced to cut the unlimited OneDrive storage for Office 365 subscribers back to 1 TB. Microsoft also announced to reduce the free OneDrive storage from 15 GB to 5 GB and to remove the 15 GB camera roll bonus.
Since this change was quite unpopular, Microsoft decided to give back some of the OneDrive storage. Click on this link by the end of January 2016 to preserve your 15 GB OneDrive storage, as well as your 15 GB camera roll bonus. This offer only applies to existing users and won't be available to new OneDrive users. Users of the free OneDrive who do not click on the link provided above will be reduced to 5 GB in 2016.
Microsoft didn't change its mind about unlimited storage which is why Office 365 users are still getting 1 TB storage.

SharePoint 2013 Cumulative Updates: December 2015
The December 2015 Cumulative Update for SharePoint 2013 contains numerous hotfixes and improvements for SharePoint Foundation 2013 and SharePoint Server 2013. The cumulative update package is multilingual and contains updates for all languages.
Important
The October 2015, November 2015 and December 2015 Cumulative Updates are causing problems when using outbound query federation to get results from the SharePoint Online search index. This issue will be fixed with the January 2016 CU.
Before you start
Since June 2014 the Cumulative Updates for SharePoint products releases on a monthly basis.
Since May 2015 the server proofing tools are included in the cumulative updates.
This cumulative update includes all patches since the Service Pack 1 release, but not the Service Pack 1 itself. You must install the Service Pack 1 before installing this cumulative update. Read how-to install Service Pack 1.
Because of the file size the cumulative update package has been divided in three parts; ubersrv.exe, ubersrv_1.cab and ubersrv_2.cab. You have to put them all in the same folder.
Installation instructions
- Create a SharePoint Farm Backup.
- Download all SharePoint Foundation and SharePoint Server packages.
- Extract the previously downloaded files with a double-click.
- Click "Continue"
- Define the path in which you would like to extract the installation binaries and click OK. Use the same destination path for the other files.
- Run the extracted EXE file as administrator.
- Accept the license terms and click "Continue".
- Repeat the previous two steps for the other EXE files in this folder.
- Apply the updates to each SharePoint server in the farm.
- As soon as the installation of the cumulative update has finished on all servers, run the SharePoint Configuration Wizard successively on each SharePoint server in the farm. This step is required if your farm level is lower than July 2015 CU.
- Restart the User Profile Service on affected servers.
