SharePoint Server 2019 is generally available

Microsoft announced general availability of SharePoint Server 2019 today. The focus is on team collaboration, user experiences, and hybrid. The SharePoint Server 2019 on-premises version is built on the foundational release of SharePoint Server 2016. The goal is to bring you closer to the cloud and the cloud closer to you.

What's new with SharePoint Server 2019 on-premises:

Surface Hub 2S / 2X

Surface Hub 2S will be delivered in the second quarter of 2019, followed by Surface Hub 2X in 2020. The new Surface Hub 2 is lighter, sleeker, and more intuitive than its predecessor. It will be equipped with a removable processor cartridge, in an easily accessible hardware chassis on the back. This processor cartridge can be removed, upgraded and serviced over time.

Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for the 6th time!

For the last 365 days, my life has been like a roller coaster. That's why I'm all the more pleased to have been awarded as Microsoft Most Valuable Professional in the Office Servers and Services (better known as Office 365) category for the sixth year in a row.

Last year I had the opportunity to gain a lot of great experiences in the Microsoft community, to speak at conferences and to organize various events. This spring I attended the MVP Global Summit in Redmond for the third time and made many new acquaintances. Last autumn I started my studies with the Master of Science in Business Administration, which also changed my professional focus a little. I have redefined the terms Modern Workplace and Digital Transformation for myself and see it as my mission to support companies on their way to a integrated understanding of modern collaboration, leadership and technologies.
